The best songs on the record are consecrated as a spectacular trio of moving deliveries, impeccable lyricism and a permanent immortality that fuses nostalgia and originality in the same place. The second half of the work calls our attention for the absurd amount of singles and invitations to the dance floor – like the underrated “Radio”whose explosion of rhythms and instruments perfectly matches the title of track as with the idea behind the plot “Diva” worth it for the confidence with which Beyoncé delivers the verses, in addition to the classic amalgamation between R&B and hip hop “ego” plays with the ambiguities that the artist had already been enjoying in previous years “Sweet Dreams” is infused with an atmosphere more darkwhich yielded to Queen B comparisons with the legendary Michael Jackson and “Video Phone” is erased in the midst of tiresome formulas (which are not abandoned even with remix released alongside Gaga).
“Satellites” it has a beautiful cinematic construction that takes us from the first notes, but it is almost impossible not to notice the excessive similarities with the previous songs and “Holy Mary” doesn’t have any justifiable place within the album, even with the great performance of the singer. We have the presence of “Broken-Hearted Girl”an exaltation in R&B adorned by the dramatic density of synthesizers and a string ensemble that further layers a conventional storyline about the insecurities of falling in love – and which would later inspire Alicia Keys with some tracks ‘The Element of Freedom’ one year later. It is remarkable how this double-edged sword pierces the architecture, but overall, the rendition of the lead singer it’s impactful enough to make us want more. The entire structure of the opening track serves as the main conducting – which, on the one hand, reflects the ability of the various producers to create an aesthetic line that intertwines the songs on the other hand, it raises a sense of predictability that we did not see, for example, in ‘Dangerously in Love’ and ‘B’Day’. “If I Were a Boy”one of tracks best known of his career, sets the tone of what we can expect from this first part – submerged in the subtlety of a guitar and a bass until it explodes in a lyrical about a disappointment that cannot be remedied. Until then, the album would represent the artist’s most intimate narrative, which is why she decided to print reflections on love and life in poignant ballads and magnanimous vocals. Compared to previous productions, some songs slip and stumble here and there – but the result is considerably solid and pleasant.

When Beyonce decided to launch ‘I Am… Sasha Fierce’her third studio album, she was already a powerhouse established in the music industry.
